If you struggle with adrenal fatigue or cortisol issues, your workouts may actually HURT your results! Many women assume that working out harder or longer is the key to burning fat and boosting muscle, but if you struggle with hormone imbalance, this can have the opposite effect.⁠

So here are the big do’s and don’ts with exercise and adrenal fatigue:⁠

Do:⁠

- Moderate intensity⁠
- Rest days⁠
- Weights with breaks⁠
- Track your heart rate⁠

- HIIT (high intensity interval training)⁠ - Daily workouts

#decolonize If you are celebrating International Day of Yoga as most of the Yoga community is today, please take a moment to pause and reflect on honouring the ancient Indian and South Asian origins and roots of these practices. Yoga is a philosophy, it is much more than asana. 

So often South Asian Teachers are negated and erased from teaching our indigenous practices that our ancestors resisted 500 years of brutal colonisation, imperialism and proselytisation so we could hold onto our ancient philosophy, culture and customs. 

This is what happens when we whyte wash history. The need to adopt a decolonial lens and mindset is pivotal. 

Every day is an ode to my ancestors and their strength, courage and resilience in the face of such injustice and oppression.
