As a pediatric operating room nurse, author, and yoga instructor, my initial intention in creating MNyoga was to help offer trauma-informed yoga and meditation to fellow healthcare providers, first responders and veterans who have served or currently serve. My business is unique in the sense that not only do offer private classes for individual or small groups, but I also offer in-service classes to professional departments who are open and willing to address accumulated on-the-job trauma seen and felt both on and off the clock. In addition to working directly with our hometown heroes, I also offer public classes infused with trauma-informed care to support each participant’s exploration in embodied choice, movement, and breath within a safe nonjudgmental space to help build connection, resiliency, and so much more. Fun fact about me…In 2020, I was mentioned by Psychology Today Magazine as an example of resiliency in their September/October issue. With both my personal and professional experiences dealing with life’s ups and downs, I treat and teach each person as if you’ve been through a difficult life event because you have. Your yoga should feel and reflect the same kind of consideration. To learn more please visit my website www.mnyoga.org
